NOPRI FARM T-SHIRT ILLUSTRATION

A playful t-shirt illustration for Nopri Farm – turning tractors, barns and milk cans into a small gang of dairy heroes.
Role: illustration & character design     Client: Nopri Talu     Use: screen printed T-shirt

CHALLENGE/ GOAL

Nopri is a family-owned dairy farm with a strong visual identity built around their cows and countryside life. They approached me to design a t-shirt illustration that would feel like a celebration of the farm – something their people would actually want to wear, not just a logo on fabric.
The goal was to create a fun, character-driven scene that brings together the classic farm elements – the barn, tractor, milk can and wheelbarrow – while keeping the artwork simple enough for high-quality screen printing.

IDEA BOARD

I started by collecting key objects from Nopri’s world – the yellow barn, red tractor, milk can, wheelbarrow and, of course, the cows.
This moodboard helped lock in the colour story (yellow + black with small accents) and overall vibe: energetic, slightly chaotic, but still friendly and family-oriented.

SKETCH & COMPOSITION

From the references I built a single scene: the cows are taking over the farm, driving the tractor out of the barn, jumping into the wheelbarrow and generally causing trouble.
At this stage I focused on:
– making the barn the main frame for the composition;
– giving each cow its own personality;
– arranging all the farm objects so the design reads clearly even from a distance on fabric.

Final illustration

Once the sketch was approved, I moved to clean linework and textures. The illustration uses a limited palette – black line, yellow fill and a few small accent shapes – to keep the print sharp and affordable while still feeling rich and detailed. I pushed the wood textures on the barn and the grain in the tractor tyres to match Nopri’s rustic feel, and kept the cows’ faces open and expressive so they work both up close and from a few meters away.
